|

Credit Suisse

The chief executive of the Swiss bank’s International Wealth Management division, Iqbal Khan, has departed, having decided to continue his career outside the company.

He joined Credit Suisse in 2013 as chief financial officer of Private Banking & Wealth Management, and was promoted to chief executive of International Wealth Management when the division was formed.

Philipp Wehle, the current chief financial officer of International Wealth Management, will succeed Khan from 1 July 2019 both as chief executive and on the executive board.

Purple Asset Management

The Bank of Singapore’s (BOS) head of rates, Johan Jooste, has left to join Singapore-based Purple AM as managing director.

Jooste moved to Singapore in 2016 when he joined BOS as chief investment officer. He had previously held similar positions at Azure Wealth and Julius Baer in London.

It is not clear if he is replacing an outgoing managing director or if the role is newly created.

Jooste joins Gary Dugan, who was named chief executive of Purple AM in November 2018.

Brewin Dolphin

The UK wealth management firm has hired Davina Rich as investment director.

She will be based at the firm’s West End office in London.

Rich joins from Waverton Investment Management where she served as a private client investment manager for four years, before leaving in October 2018.

Jersey Finance

The promotional body for Jersey’s financial services industry has named Philip Pirecki as business development lead in the US.

The appointment follows the firm’s expansion in North America, with its New York office expected to become fully operational by the end of 2019.

Before joining Jersey Finance, Pirecki was a director at Premier Fiduciary Services in the Cayman Islands, as well a director and partner at Silver Sail Advisors in London.

Financial Sector Conduct Authority

South African regulator the FSCA has appointed Kedibone Dikokwe as divisional executive for conduct of business supervision.

The appointment is effective from 1 July 2019 and she will be responsible for overseeing the way financial institutions interact with their clients.

Dikokwe also sits on the Committee of insurance, Securities and Non-banking Authorities in South Africa, and she was part of the FSCA’s licensing and conduct of business working groups.

Pictet AM

Nobel Gulati has joined the board of Pictet Asset Management as a non-executive director, effective immediately.

He was the managing director of US-based hedge fund Two Sigma for 12 years, before retiring earlier this year.

He also sits on the executive board of academic research centre Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative.
