Aviva edged out Quilter to top the rankings for most recommend adviser platforms in the first half of 2026.
Defacto said Aviva Platform had a 30% market share, while Quilter took 27% of all adviser business recorded.
The figures are based on recommendations made though Defaqto Engage and are level with the same period of 2025.
Fidleity Adviser Solutions, AJ Bell Investcentre and Scottish Widows made up the rest of the top five.
The former two firms retained their positions from last year while Scottish Widows jumped above Transact to claim fifth place.
Fundment Platform was a new arrival to the top 10.

Defaqto’s whole-of-market data covers more than 50 platforms from over 30 providers.
Andrew Duthie, insight manager for wealth and protection at Defaqto, said: “As is commonly the case when we take the numbers for platform recommendations, Aviva and Quilter dominate the top two spots with more than half of all the recommendations in the top 10 falling to these two.
“The former Embark platform, now Scottish Widows Platform, has seen growth. Its improvement in recommendations, in part due to advisers seeking to utilise brands they know well.
“Fundment performed extremely well in Defaqto’s 2026 Platform Service Survey and has now entered the top 10 for adviser recommendations.
“This is likely a reflection of its commitment to providing a high-quality adviser experience, allowing advisers to focus more of their time on delivering value and better outcomes for clients.”
