The outgoing senior executive officer of Zurich Workplace Solutions, Reena Vivek, has agreed to step into the top job at Zurich International Life in the Middle East on an interim basis.
Her appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Vivek will fill the seat vacated by Walter Jopp, who stepped down from the chief executive role on 31 July after five years in the job.
Zurich confirmed to International Adviser in mid-July that, after nine years at the company, Vivek was to leave Zurich at the same time as Jopp.
She was responsible for building Zurich Workplace Solutions, the reins of which she passed to Sajeev Nair on 1 August.
It is not clear at this stage how long her interim appointment is expected last.
