Peter Huber has decided to leave Zurich International (ZINT) to pursue another opportunity, a spokesperson for the company has confirmed to International Adviser.
He had been in role since September 2017, having joined Zurich in 2013.
No further details were provided about his departure, which is the third such announcement in recent months.
It comes after Walter Jopp stepped down as chief executive of Zurich International Life Middle East, followed by Reena Vivek, senior executive officer of Zurich Workplace Solutions – although she has agreed to temporarily fill Jopp’s old role until a permanent successor is found.
Long experience
Huber’s departure has seen Wendy Liu appointed interim chief executive of ZINT, this is in addition to her current role as global head of corporate, life & pensions (CLP).
Liu continues to report to Jack Howell, chief executive of Zurich Global Ventures.
She has been with Zurich since 2011.
The spokesperson said: “She is deeply familiar with our life business and understands how to manage customers and operations across multiple jurisdictions given the nature of CLP.
“As ZINT interim CEO, Wendy will manage the day-to-day operations, and ensure we remain focused on growing the business and serving our customers.”
The spokesperson added: “ZINT holds an established position in the markets in which we operate and our commitment to all stakeholders – regulators, customers, employees, industry bodies, distribution partners, and the community at large – remains stronger than ever.”
