Reporting to Mark Hartigan, CEO of Zurich’s global life business in Asia Pacific and Middle East, Zurich said Choi will be responsible for further strengthening the firm’s Hong Kong business.
Choi, who takes up her new position on 31 October, joined Zurich in May 2010 and has been in her current role as chief operations officer for global life Asia-Pacific and Middle East for the last 18 months.
Zurich said she played "a key part" in a range of regional initiatives including establishing Zurich Insurance Malaysia Berhad and the Zurich Indonesia Life Company.
"She has a deep understanding of the Hong Kong market and her focus on delivering for our customers makes her the ideal person to further develop our Hong Kong Life business," Hartigan said.
