US in the news: Wealth Enhancement Group makes sixth deal of 2022

Wealth Enhancement Group

The wealth management firm has acquired Hawkins Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

Hawkins WM has offices in North Liberty, Iowa, and Naples, Florida.

Led by founder Tim Hawkins, CFP®, Hawkins Wealth Management has $574m assets under management.

The deal brings Wealth Enhancement Group’s total client assets to more than $55.5bn (£45.1bn, €52.6bn).

As part of the acquisition, six financial advisers and seven support staff from Hawkins WM will move to Wealth Enhancement Group.

It is Wealth Enhancement Group’s sixth acquisition in 2022.

Hub International

The financial services firm has acquired the assets of Heritage Wealth Management Group for an undisclosed sum.

Located in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, Heritage Wealth Management Group is an independent financial services firm helping clients in western Pennsylvania.

Heritage Wealth Management Group has 300 clients with assets of more than $205m, as of January 2022.

Michael Finnell, president of Heritage Wealth Management Group, and the Heritage Wealth Management Group team will join Hub.

SageView Advisory Group

The advice firm has acquired California-based Summit Financial Consultants for an undisclosed sum.

Summit Financial Consultants, which has $321m in assets under management, offers retirement planning and comprehensive financial planning to its clients.

People moves

Fieldpoint Private

The private bank has appointed Brent Yamaato as chief operating officer.

Yamaato joins Fieldpoint Private after more than 25 years of industry experience with Truist and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Verdence Capital Advisors

The multi-family office has hired Kelly Wright as director of financial planning.

Prior to joining the firm, he was the director of wealth management for Congress Wealth Management in Columbia, Maryland.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management

The firm has expanded its Dallas office with three additions including Chris Gold as Dallas market president, Megan Steinbach as senior private banker and Dan Patterson as senior wealth manager.

Gold joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management from Northern Trust, where he served as a senior managing director. Steinbach joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management from Northern Trust, where she most recently served as senior private banker.

Patterson joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management from Northern Trust, where he was a senior investment portfolio manager.
