US in the news: Wealth Enhancement Group buys advice firm

Wealth Enhancement Group

The independent wealth management firm has acquired Hoover Financial Advisors (HFA), an independent hybrid registered investment adviser (RIA) based in Malvern, Pennsylvania for an undisclosed sum.

Launched in 2005 by founder and chief executive Peter Hoover, HFA provides financial planning services, investment management and insurance solutions to retirees, pre-retirees and other clients.

Upon closing of the transaction, the entire HFA team of 26 individuals, including nine financial advisers and four seasonal tax consultants, will join Wealth Enhancement Group.

The deal is expected to close on 1 July.

Focus Financial Partners

The partner group of independent wealth management firms has acquired ARS Wealth Advisors for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021, subject to customary closing conditions.

ARS Wealth was founded in 1997 to provide its clients with wealth management services.

People moves

UBS Private Wealth Management

The wealth firm has hired John Davenport, Angela Colombani and Sean Livingston to its offices in San Francisco, California.

The team brings over five decades of combined experience to UBS and joins the firm after more than 10 years at JP Morgan Private Bank.

In addition, the team also includes client service associate Jordan Sayer, senior wealth strategy associate Chris Carothers, and senior wealth strategy associate Tyler Baker-Williams.
