Summit Financial

The registered investment adviser (RIA) firm has named Kevin Barry as chief investment officer.

He most recently served as chief investment officer at Captrust.

B Riley Wealth Management

Jay Murphy has joined as a senior managing director of investments at the wealth manager.

He was previously associated with Alex Brown, a division of Raymond James, and has worked in the private wealth management divisions of Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse.

RBC Wealth Management

The wealth manager has hired a father/son financial adviser team with more than $1bn (£880m, €1.01bn) in client assets to its New York City office from JP Morgan.

The Nolan Group is composed of:

  • Michael Nolan, managing director and financial adviser;
  • Brian Nolan, senior vice president and financial adviser;
  • Megan O’Connor, vice president and senior business associate;
  • Courtney Shultz, investment associate; and
  • Nichole Ross, registered client associate.

M&A

360 Financial

The boutique wealth management firm has merged with financial planning firm Fleming Investment Group.

The combined company will operate under the 360 Financial brand, servicing of over 1,000 clients and managing approximately $529m in client assets.

Mike Rogers continues as the founder and president of 360 Financial. Fleming Investment Group’s former president, Brian Bohnsack, takes on the roles of senior vice president of 360 Financial and managing principal of the Elk River location.

Amy Lemke, director of operations, will manage the transition to 360 Financial for both teams with a collaborative transition plan.

The headquarters for the combined company will be in Wayzata, Minnesota.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
