MGO Private Wealth

Louis Barajas has been promoted to president.

He is currently chief strategy officer at MGO Private Wealth.

First Republic Bank

The private bank and wealth management company has hired Charles Rodgers, Laurel Norris and Michael Morrone for First Republic Investment Management.

Rodgers, Norris and Morrone were each named managing director and wealth manager and joined from Abbot Downing.

UBS Wealth Management

Financial advisers Michael Valenti and Samantha Maley have joined the wealth manager in Rochester, New York.

They both have joined The Schoff Group, a team at UBS that specialises in advising corporations, unions, not-for-profits, and ultra-high net worth families.

Also, UBS Wealth Management has hired financial adviser Caitlin Perry in Rutland, Vermont.  She will be joined at UBS by client service associate Shauna Graham.

Magnus Financial Group

Leslie Hwang has joined the firm as vice president and client relationship manager.

Prior to joining Magnus, she spent six years as the chief of staff at KBL Merger Corp IV, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), where she spearheaded day-to-day business and operations including investor relations, deal sourcing and private company research.

Steward Partners Global Advisory

The wealth management firm associated with Raymond James Financial Services has promoted Doug Kentfield to president.

He was previously head of wealth management for the past two years.

Chilton Trust

The independent wealth management firm has named Jonathan Justice and Christina Duffy as managing director and senior adviser, and senior vice president and wealth adviser, respectively.

Justice was a managing director at Truist Wealth. Duffy previously served as a senior vice president and client adviser at SunTrust Bank.

Robertson Stephens Wealth Management

Wealth manager Rick Tasker has joined the firm as managing director and principal of the firm’s newly established Santa Rosa, California office.

He will be joined by colleagues, Yvette Clark and Elizabeth Barrett.

Tasker was previously the founder and president of Epoch Consulting Group.

Bordeaux Wealth Advisors

The boutique investment advisory and wealth management firm has hired Allison Kollar as a wealth adviser.

Prior to joining Bordeaux, she held a senior role as a lead wealth adviser at Brownson, Rehmus & Foxworth in Chicago.

Crestwood Advisors

The boutique investment advisory and wealth management firm based in Boston has hired CM Macgowan and Thomas Mooney.

Macgowan joins Crestwood as director, portfolio manager from The MFA Companies, where he was president of its investment division. Mooney joins Crestwood as a client service associate.

Raymond James

Financial adviser Adam English has joined the firm in Naples, Florida.

Along with senior client service associate Anne Mitchell, the team operates as English Wealth Management of Raymond James and serves a variety of clients including business owners, retirees, women investors and individuals experiencing sudden wealth.

English was previously affiliated with Merrill Lynch.

M&A

Hightower

The wealth manager has made a strategic investment in Georgia-based Bluerock Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

It provides individuals and families with financial planning, investing and tax consulting.

Founded in 2019 by Raj Chokshi and Rachael Neil, both of whom have more than 20 years of wealth management experience, Bluerock predominantly serves affluent clients in Southeastern US, with a particular focus on mid-career technology and medical professionals and their families.

Bluerock has 11 employees, including five advisers.

Captrust Financial Advisors

The wealth manager has bought Covenant Multi-Family Offices (Covenant) has joined the firm for an undisclosed sum.

Covenant has offices in San Antonio and Boerne, as well as Oklahoma City. The firm is led by founder and managing director John Eadie, along with Barry Beal, Justin Pawl, and Karl Eggerss.

Some 44 additional team members will also join Captrust.

Bluespring Wealth Partners

The firm has acquired Cincinnati-based Ritter Daniher Financial Advisory for an undisclosed sum.

Established in 1999, RDFA is led by founders John Ritter and Jeffrey Daniher.

Clearstead Advisors

Private equity firm Flexpoint Ford has agreed to acquire a majority stake in the registered investment adviser (RIA) firm.

Clearstead is an independent financial advisory firm serving high net worth private and institutional clients at its offices in Cleveland and Portland.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Allworth Financial

The RIA firm has partnered with DeBoer Financial Group (DFG) of Roseville, California.

Founded in 2003 by Jeffrey DeBoer, DFG is an RIA that specialises in providing retirement planning and investment management services.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
