US in the news: Hub International bolsters private client arm

Hub International

The global insurance brokerage and financial services firm has named Katherine Frattarola joined the firm as executive vice president in charge of the private client and high net worth practice.

Most recently, she served as the chief marketing officer for insurance company Pure.

Pitcairn

The family office has named Jay Goetschius as managing director and head of Florida.

Prior to joining Pitcairn, Goetschius was a managing director at Abbot Downing’s offices in Palm Beach and New York.

UBS Wealth Management USA

Financial adviser Taylor Gray has joined the firm in White Plains, New York.

Gray has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Chilton Trust

The independent wealth management firm and national trust company has named Thomas Walsh as senior vice president of the southwest Florida region.

He will take charge of its newly established Naples, Florida office.

Raymond James

Financial adviser Lance Murphy has joined the firm in Houston, Texas.

Murphy previously managed approximately $207m (£158m,€187m) in client assets with Edward Jones.

Also, financial advisers Brandon Glasscock and Mandy Haskell join from Wells Fargo, where they previously managed approximately $350m in client assets.

Together with registered client service associate, Sara Ferrell, they serve clients through planning and portfolio management strategies.

Lastly, Stuart Scibetta joins from Edward Jones, where he previously managed approximately $118m in client assets.

M&A

Private Advisor Group

The independent wealth management company has acquired registered investment adviser (RIA) firm Investors Financial Group (IFG).

As part of the deal, IFG will transition its RIA business to Private Advisor Group.

Comprised of nearly 30 independent advisers and staff, IFG will retain brand autonomy while gaining access to additional practice management resources, business and succession planning, and Private Advisor Group’s community of over 700 advisers.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wealth Enhancement Group

The independent wealth management firm has acquired Napa Valley Wealth Management and TrueNote Investment Advisors for an undisclosed sum.

The firms are led by president and chief investment officer Kelly Crane.

They are headquartered in St. Helena, California with additional offices in Walnut Creek and El Cerrito.
