UK advice company buys IFA firm’s client book

Acquired business was looking for a ‘safe pair of hands’

Leicester-headquartered Westerby Investment Management has bought the client book of IFA firm Blythin & Brown Financial Solutions (BBFS) for an undisclosed sum.

BBFS is the financial services arm of Mountsorrel-based general business insurance broker Blythin & Brown Insurance Brokers.

All staff will join Westerby Investment Management to ensure continuity.

The Westerby Group’s total assets under trusteeship, administration and advice is now over £1.5bn ($1.89bn, €1.76bn) with around 5,000 clients.

Retirement

Westerby Group managing director Steve Harvey said: “We are delighted to announce this client acquisition which will provide continuity to Blythin & Brown Insurance Brokers’ proposition.
