Aidan pinpoints Malaysia as the most difficult jurisdiction he has dealt with over the years because of its lack of maturity in terms of regulation and the corresponding grey areas which makes the giving of advice a difficult process.

He also characterises The Fry Group’s approach to advice as conservative, which he says has meant they have rarely recommended a QROPS and they currently have a moratorium on these schemes, pending further clarification from HMRC.
