The €600m SICAV, managed by Eric Bendahan, was previously only offered to institutional investors, but the company have now made it publically available.

The fund has returned 83.6% since it was launched in 2011.

It is domiciled in Luxembourg and has no minimum investment.

The fund invests in family companies, mature business models and companies with large discrepancies between shares and bonds or significant changes in their management or shareholders.

While its approach mirrors that of the Oyster European Opportunities Fund, it has a longer investment horizon lasting over five years.

Bendahan joined Syz & Co in 2005 and has been an advisor on the OYSTER European Opportunities Fund since December of that year.

He previously worked at Axa Investment Managers for six years as a European equities manager.

In April last year, Syz & Co announced that its assets under management had increased by nearly 20% in 2012 to £18bn, with more than half of the growth attributed to new inflows.

Syz & Co provide investment solutions to institutional investors such as pension funds, insurance companies, corporations and investment funds.
