Fidelity International has suspended two portfolio managers in its Hong Kong office for a potential breach of a code of ethics.
External reports have cited Kevin Chang and Wilson Wong as the two managers concerned, who respectively run the Fidelity Institutional South East Asia and the Fidelity Funds Greater China funds.
A spokesperson said that while an internal investigation employee/employer confidentiality the company is unable to confirm whether these are the managers concerned, what the breach was or how they found out.
A local IFA described Fidelity’s suspension of them as a positive move adding: "The two managers in question appear to be too aggressive in ‘managing’ their funds."
