Stennett is a tax specialist who is a chartered tax advisor and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and his appointment reflects expansion of Boston’s business in this specialist area.
At Boston, he Stennett will advise new and existing clients on international structuring matters, as well as taking responsibility for business development, the company said.
Most recently Stennett, who trained with KPMG after graduating from St Andrews University, had been a director at SMP Accounting and Tax, also on the Isle of Man.
Boston was founded in 2002 originally as a family office. Today it provides a range of financial services products and advice to high net worth individuals and their families, and employs more than 50 people. Ellison left Barclays Wealth – the Isle of Man’s largest private sector employer, where he had been managing director – to become Boston Group chief executive in April.
