The financial planning business of Standard Life Aberdeen, 1825, is going to offer free one-to-one financial advice sessions to people in the local community.

The initiative is part of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment’s Financial Planning Week, which will start on 7 October 2019 until 11 October 2019.

The aim is to give people access to high-quality financial advice.

In 2018, 1825 provided 80 hours of pro-bono advice sessions all over the UK.

Battling uncertainty

Colin Dyer, head of private client management at 1825 Financial Planning, said: “Be it achieving financial security, putting a plan in place to meet a life goal, or simply seeking reassurance on decisions, financial advice can make a significant difference to people’s lives.

“Uncertainty is rife in modern day life but having a solid financial plan can offer an element of security, peace of mind and reduce money worries.

“We are a firm supporter of Financial Planning Week and look forward to opening our doors to people across the country during October.”
