Sabatta previously spent 29 years at Standard Bank group where he had various sales and sales management roles, as part of a career in the financial services industry totalling 32 years.
Paul Nicholson, chief executive of St James Global said the appointment was part of the company’s expansion plans, with eight sales executives already currently based in Cape Town.
He said: “Recent changes in legislation have created significant financial planning opportunities for clients, in particular given the government’s stance on tax evasion, tax avoidance and the future for South Africa.”
