Johnson has worked in the Middle East for six years and, in an email to intermediaries and contacts in the region, said the period had been a “successful and enjoyable” stint.
He said has decided to leave the company and return to the UK for “personal/family reasons”.
Johnson also went on to reassure advisers of his “confidence in Skandia’s ability in maintaining the excellent support and service provided” and said he “will be working towards ensuring a smooth transition until such time as a replacement is appointed so will continue to be your point of contact until further notice”.
The company’s Middle East team is headed by Brendan Dolan and there are two other area managers working in the Middle East – Yunus Selant and Ben Moxon.
A Skandia spokesperson said: “Chris Johnson, Skandia area manager in Dubai for six years, will leave his current role in order to return to the UK. There is currently no set leaving date and he will work with us to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities whilst we look to recruit a replacement. We wish Chris well in his future career.”
