France joined Skandia in September 2011 and was tasked with conducting a review of the company’s international distribution strategy and implementing a number of changes to it. With this now completed, Skandia said France “leaves [the business] in great shape”.
In a statement, Skandia said France had put in place a number of strategic initiatives during his tenure, including its high net worth business which was launched in Asia earlier this year. France was also a driving force behind Skandia’s IFA business transformation consultancy service, ‘practice management’.
The company added that it wished France well in his future endeavours.
It is understood that Skandia will now be seeking to replace France in the sales director role and that in the meantime the international sales function will be overseen by senior management within the wider distribution team.
It is not yet known whether France has agreed to take up a position at another company.
