SJP partner firm acquires UK advice company

It is expecting to complete a number of deals in 2022

Edinburgh-headquartered Tweed Wealth Management has bought Inverness-based John Home Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

The deal helps Tweed WM bring total assets under management to more than £380m ($518m, €456m).

It is the firm’s fourth acquisition.

Under the terms of the deal, all existing staff and principal John Home join the Tweed team and continue to be based in Inverness where further investments are planned to expand operations and headcount.

Chris Tweed, co-founder and chief executive of Tweed Wealth Management, said to local media: “We see Inverness and the wider Highlands and Islands as offering huge growth potential for Tweed Wealth Management.”

“We are actively looking at a number of other acquisitions in the region and expect a number of these to complete in 2022.”

Tweed Wealth Management is an St James’s Place (SJP) partner firm and won International Adviser’s Best Practice Adviser Award for excellence in business strategy.

The firm has a staff headcount of 21 includes 10 financial advisers, including six chartered individuals, who are based across the company’s three offices in Edinburgh, Inverness and London.
