Global investment manager Schroders is supporting the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment’s (CISI) Financial Planning Mentoring Scheme by rolling out a helpline for its mentees and mentors.

The scheme, which is free to join, started on 1 January 2019.

The helpline will offer answers to any questions participants in the mentoring scheme have about investment dealing, platforms, business consolidation and human resources-related issues.

Philip Middleton, head of UK intermediary business at Schroders, said: “Financial planning continues to be a very important profession for those wishing to seek financial advice and it is one which, over the past few years, has been under increasing pressure.

“Our business has a wide-ranging set of skills and knowledge, which I am hoping we can share and collaborate through this mentoring programme with the CISI.”

Mentees must be members of both the CISI and its Financial Planning Forum, who are looking for help and support to achieve their professional financial planning goals.

Mentors leading the scheme will possess the Certified Financial Planner certification.
