The new partnership will provide full coverage for a range of international health insurance needs such as cancer, hospital charges, organ transplants and evacuation and repatriation from 1 June 2016.

David Harris, director – distribution, UAE & Bahrain, said: “As part of our endeavour to continue providing our customers the leading suite of insurance services, we are excited to tie up with Now Health to bring their award-winning proposition to the market, where we see growing demand for premium facilities in this space.

“It is in line with our aim of bringing the best insurance services globally to the UAE and customising them to local needs.”

Expansion

RSA Insurance already has major operations in the Middle East as part of its emerging markets business. Its commercial product portfolio in the UAE spans a range of insurance solutions for small and mid-market sectors to large and complex risks.

Now Health International provides individual private medical insurance (IPMI) products for global expatriates, high-net-worth individuals and small- to medium-sized businesses.

In July last year, Now Health merged with Best Doctors Insurance, a medical insurance provider with distribution throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada, to create one of the largest independent IPMI providers in the world with over 100,000 members, 330 staff and 5,000 distribution partners.

Now Health’s chief executive, Martin Garcia said, “The UAE is one of Now Health’s core markets so we are very excited to be partnering with RSA in the region.”
