RBS appoints new Wealth Division CEO

RBS has appointed Rory Tapner as the new CEO of its Wealth Division.

Tapner joins from UBS where he was a member of the group’s executive board. His most recent role was as chairman and CEO of UBS’ Asia Pacific business, which included the investment bank, wealth management and asset management.

His previous roles at UBS included global head of equity capital markets, and then global head of investment banking.

The RBS Wealth Division provides private banking and investment services in the UK through Coutts & Co and Adam & Company, and offshore banking services through RBS International, NatWest Offshore, and Isle of Man Bank. Outside of the UK it offers Private Banking through the RBS Coutts brand in over 80 countries with Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai as major hubs.
