Wayne Pearson, a former director of its Jersey trust and fiduciary business, works in New York, while Roberta Ruddy is based in San Francisco.

Pearson and Ruddy form part of RBC Wealth Management’s international solutions team. The group works with professional advisers and RBC offices around the world, to provide high net worth (HNW) and corporate clients with a range of wealth management solutions.

These include: trust and fiduciary services; private banking; investment; credit and financing; custody; and corporate and executive services.

Pearson, most recently a member of the international solutions team in Calgary, Canada, is responsible for New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia and Washington DC. He is admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.

Ruddy, who covers California, began her career as an attorney before moving into private banking. She has over 20 years’ experience in implementing tax-efficient wealth transfer and estate-planning strategies, and fiduciary structures, for US and Latin American HNW clients.

Ralph Awrey, managing director, international solutions at RBC Wealth Management, said: “Wayne and Roberta both have deep knowledge of US tax and estate law and its impact on clients with interests or connections with the US.”
