The partnership will give FEIFA members access to Rathbones’s multi asset funds and bespoke discretionary management services.

The relationship will be headed up by head of international business development at Rathbones, Damian Cocking.

It will be supported by associate director of international business development, Chris Wanless, and an international investment team coordinated by head of multi asset investments, David Coombs.

Cocking said: “We are looking forward to working with those advisers that are looking to make outsourcing investment decisions.”

“Over the last 12 months we’ve seen an increasingly significant demand for our services in Europe and it made sense for us to build a strategic partnership with FEIFA and its members,” he added.

“The growth of professional bodies such as FEIFA indicates an escalating recognition of the higher quality adviser now serving clients across Europe, and we are delighted to be partnering those advisers as they look to grow their business.”

FEIFA is a trade association that provides a voice for the expatriate IFA community operating across Europe.

Its member companies are active across more than 25 European countries, with cumulative assets of greater than €3bn.

In November, FEIFA chairman Paul Stanfield confirmed that offshore pension planning firm Premier Pension Solutions had dropped off the list of FEIFA members.

When International Adviser enquired why the company had been taken off the list, he said: “Our executive committee feels that it would be inappropriate to comment further on the circumstances that led to that situation. This is an internal matter and confidentiality needs to be respected.”
