Graham O’Donoghue joins the company from Merrion Stockbrokers, an Irish stockbroking company owned by Merrion Capital, where he worked for 11 years. Prior to this O’Donoghue worked for Davy Stockbrokers.

The appointment brings the total number of staff based in Quilter’s Dublin office to nine and follows the appointment of William Sparks in December. The company said it has also embarked on a recruitment drive to increase the number of investment professionals at its 12 other offices throughout the UK and Jersey.

Brian Weber, head of Quilter’s Dublin office, said: “When markets are volatile there is even more demand for our investment management expertise as private and institutional clients look for our assistance to help them to achieve their financial goals. Graham’s experience and skill will provide a significant boost to the investment resources we offer and enable us to continue to offer the high levels of personalised client service that we are known for.”
