UK investment group Premier Miton Investors has made an Embark Group self-invested personal pension (Sipp) the first product of its kind available on its adviser online service.
Connect already offers an Isa and a general investment account.
The Sipp gives advisers and their clients access to all Premier Miton funds, including its multi asset range. Embark Pensions fees will apply for the Sipp as will Premier Miton fund charges.
Mike O’Shea, chief executive of Premier Miton, said: “The announcement forms an important part of our plan to find more ways of offering better value for money and better service for our clients.
“Pensions form a vital role in financial and retirement planning for advisers and their clients, so making a tax efficient and cost effective Sipp available alongside our Isa and general investment account on Connect, is key to making this online service even more attractive and useful.
“We believe Connect will be particularly beneficial for advisers selecting Premier Miton’s well respected and broad range of multi asset solutions, providing access to actively managed, highly diversified portfolios designed to meet different long-term objectives, including income, risk targeted outcomes, growth and wealth preservation.”
Available for clients
Connect is designed to provide lower total costs of investing and digital services for advisers and their clients, alongside UK business development support and services for advisers.
The portal offers flexibility around facilitating income payments direct from fund dividends or organising regular payments through disinvestment. The portal also facilitates payment of adviser charges.
Connect online services are now available to advisers’ clients allowing them to go paperless by receiving and viewing electronic versions of documents, notices and other communications, including viewing investment holdings and transactions whenever they like. Users can get real-time access to their portfolios and detailed reports showing underlying investments across all Premier Miton funds.
O’Shea added: “We are also delighted that relevant digital services can now be accessed by advisers’ client on Connect, allowing them to go paperless and receive electronic versions of documents, notices and other communications, rather than relying on updates by post. And by using Connect, advisers’ clients can view their investments and transactions online whenever they choose.”
