The Platforms Association has added four new members to its board, including AJ Bell CEO Michael Summersgill and Nucleus CEO Richard Rowney.
Other new board appointments include Georg Bauer, head of investment and product global platform solutions at Fidelity International, and Lucy Thomas, executive director of corporate affairs at Hargreaves Lansdown.
The trade body was launched in September to represent the investment platforms sector and promote the industry’s interests.
Key priority areas it seeks to address are evolving platform requirements, regulatory expectations and operational efficiencies and improvements.

The likes of Fidelity, Quilter, Aegon and abrdn were among the initial firms to join, but that has since expanded to 54 members today, with more in the onboarding process.
David Moffat, chair of the Platforms Association, said: ‘We are delighted to further strengthen the Board of the Platforms Association with the addition of Lucy, Georg, Mike and Richard.
“Each brings considerable knowledge and experience of the Advisor and Direct-to-Consumer sectors. We all look forward to working together to further the interests of the wider platform community, advisors and investors.”
