PEOPLE MOVES: Veritas Group, Standard Life, Cazenove Capital

Ex-Forthplus Pensions director joins investment firm, while savings giant names retail intermediary MD

Veritas Group

The international investment solutions provider has hired Chris Holyoak as chief executive.

He used to work as managing director of Forthplus Pensions, and succeeds Derry Thornalley, who will take on the role of group chairman and creative director.

Thornalley co-founded the firm, which is the parent company of Mauritius-based Gravitas Finance and Guernsey-based Veritas Life, with Craig Wetton in 2014. Wetton remains as chief operating officer.

Standard Life

The Phoenix Group subsidiary has named Chris Hudson as managing director of retail intermediary, a newly created role.

He will be responsible for expanding the adviser channel and distribution strategy.

Hudson joins from mutual insurer LV=, where he was sales director for two years.

Cazenove Capital

Schroders’ wealth management business has expanded its wealth planning team across the UK.

Wesley Harrison joins as wealth planning director from Investec, where he served as senior financial planning director.

Rosie Gibbs has taken on the role of wealth planner after nearly eight years as a financial planner at Saunderson House.

Harneys Fiduciary

The global offshore fiduciary firm has hired Peter Nagle as chief executive.

He was previously chief commercial officer at Sanne, where he was responsible for client service delivery across all jurisdictions as well as the firm’s commercial development.

Franklin Templeton

Guillaume Dambrine has joined the global investment manager as senior ETF sales specialist, based in Paris.

He is tasked with the development of Franklin Templeton’s Ucits ETF platform in France and other Francophone areas within Emea.

Most recently, he was a senior consultant at BeBrandon Agency.

Charles Stanley

Rebekah Bennett has taken on the newly created role of director of consultant relations for fiduciary management.

She was previously at SEI as a consultant relations director.

Janus Henderson

The asset management firm has named Panos Nikopolitidis as head of operations, based in London.

He used to work as head of global investment and data operations at Russell Investments, a role he held since 2017.

Crux AM

The asset manager has strengthened its UK equities team.

Tom Messenger becomes an investment analyst as he joins from Momentum Investment Solutions & Consulting, where he held a similar role since 2018.

Weatherbys

The UK-based private bank has appointed Kevin Eagles as a private banker.

He has over 30 years’ experience in financial services and joins from Arc and Co Private Finance, where he advised on mortgages and other property-related borrowing.
