Second longstanding Generali man to depart Utmost

Utmost Worldwide

Head of finance Glen Broadhurst has revealed he will leave the company at the end of July 2019, five months after Generali Worldwide was acquired by the Utmost Group of Companies.

He joined Generali Worldwide in 2008, having previously been head of corporate centre at BSI Generali Bank.

In a LinkedIn update, Broadhurst said he will be seeking self-employment opportunities and growing his non-executive directorship portfolio.

He currently serves as non-executive director of Terra Firma Private Equity Group.

His departure follows the announcement that Nick Griffin is set to step as chief commercial officer.

The Fry Group

Gary Jennison joins the advisory group as non-executive chairman of the company.

His appointment is effective immediately and he will oversee the creation and implementation of the group’s long-term direction.

Jennison is also the non-executive chairman of Lantern Debt Recovery and Orchard Funding Group, as well as the non-executive director of Admiral Financial Services.

Prior to developing this portfolio of non-executive positions, Jennison fulfilled an extensive range of financial services chief executive roles, including European chief executive of The Warranty Group, deputy chief executive of Together Money, chief executive of Payzone UK, chief executive of Secure Trust Bank and managing director of Barclays’ branch network in the UK.

Creechurch Capital

The isle of Man-based discretionary fund management firm has named David Nixon non-executive director.

The hire is part of a number of changes following the acquisition of the firm by the Nayyar Group in March 2019.

Nixon was the managing director of Blackrock for seven years from 2001, and he has held several other senior positions within the insurance and investment sector in the Isle of Man.

EFG International

International private bank EFG has hired Angela Bow as deputy head of Asia Pacific region.

Effective from 1 June 2019, Bow will be based in Hong Kong to expand the business in the area.

She has also become a member of the Asia Pacific business committee.

Bow joins from Julius Baer where she was the managing director and head of Japan, emerging Asia and intermediaries.

Cameron Hume

Double hire for the Scottish independent fixed income manager.

Ravi Rastogi joins as corporate development director and Louise MacDonald as head of compliance.

They will both be part of the Cameron Hume executive committee, and Rastogi will also be on the firm’s board.

MacDonald joins from Aberdeen Standard Investments where she served for 12 years; while Rastogi was European insurance investment leader at Mercer Investments.

Ocorian

Global provider of fiduciary services Ocorian has named Conor Blake as senior sales director.

His role will be based in Dublin and he will be responsible for raising the firm’s profile across Ireland and Europe.

Before joining the company, he held senior positions at Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Sanne Group.
