Life company names Singapore CEO, as wealth group hires acquisitions director

Utmost International 

Cherie Tan will become chief executive of Utmost International’s Singapore branch and head of sales in Asia. 

The appointment is subject to regulatory approval. 

She will focus on the high net worth market in Asia and on the development of wealth solutions for the segment. 

Tan joins from Lombard International where she was responsible for sales and marketing of insurance wealth solutions to ultra- and high net worth clients in Asia. 

Perspective Financial Group 

The financial planning and wealth management group has hired Sam Smith as group acquisitions director. 

He was previously at Attivo Group for 14 years. 

The appointment comes as Perspective has seven M&A deals in its pipeline and expects to complete most of them before Christmas. 

Trireme Pensions 

Anna Gray has become director at Trireme Pensions Services and Cavendish Corporate Investments, part of the PraxisIFM Group. 

She joins the Guernsey-based companies from the UK’s The Pensions Regulator, where she served as a pensions lawyer for over two years. 

AJ Bell 

The investment platform has recruited Laith Khalaf as a financial analyst to cover a 10-month maternity contract.

He was previously an analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown. 

Irish Association of Investment Managers 

Former Irish minister for financial services, Michael D‘Arcy, will become chief executive of the Irish Association of Investment Managers (IAIM). 

He will be responsible for re-setting the association’s agenda, focusing on the post-Brexit landscape and the expansion of ESG.
