UBS
The head of wealth management Emea, Christine Novakovic, has been named chief executive of UBS Europe SE, effective 1 September 2019.
Besides this responsibility she will continue to fulfil her current role.
Novakovic will succeed Thomas Rodermann, whose contract was not extended by mutual agreement and will leave UBS at the end of November 2019, as contractually agreed.
She will also assume his role as country head of Germany and Austria.
Morningstar Investment Management Europe
Martin Coyle has been appointed head of business development in the UK.
In this role, Coyle will lead UK distribution team to help promote the Morningstar Managed Portfolio Service to financial advisers.
Coyle has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily concentrating on Investment and platform solutions, having worked across both the Australian and UK markets.
He joins from Aegon UK, where he served first as head of platform distribution and strategy before his most recent role as distribution director for Platform and Investments.
Prior to this, Coyle held senior positions at AXA Wealth and Prudential in the UK.
Lowes Group
The Newcastle-headquartered IFA firm has hired Kimberley Campbell as head of intermediary distribution.
She has been brought in by the group to help grow the investment management side of the business.
Campbell has 15 years of sales and team-building experience, most recently as head of IFA distribution and head of wealth business development specialists at Vitality Invest, and prior to that partnership development consultant with Zurich.
Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM)
The wealth firm has named Philip Young and Lucy Katzarova as managing director and investment manager, respectively
Young joins from Brewin Dolphin, where he worked as charity investment director from 2011.
Prior to his role at Brewin Dolphin, he managed investments at UBS, HSBC and Deutsche Asset Management.
Katzarova previously worked as an assistant director at Brewin Dolphin, and spent three years at UBS Wealth Management.
Parmenion
The platform provider has hired Tom Sayers as head of investment solutions.
He reports to Peter Dalgliesh, managing director of Parmenion’s investment team will co-ordinate the management of portfolio assets across the firm’s range of managed portfolio service solutions.
Sayers was most recently head of investment at Whitechurch Securities.
