He was previously at crypto exchange Eqonex Group, where he served as chief executive.

He joins from Lazard Fund Managers, where he was head of retail distribution for Italy.

The UK-based savings, protection and retirement solutions provider has made a number of key promotions.
Lorna Shah has become managing director of retail retirement; Katharine Photiou has taken on the role of managing director of the retail’s workplace savings business; while Steve Davis has been named chief operating officer for the retail division.
Shah was previously commercial director at L&G Retail; while Photiou was head of workplace savings product and proposition at LGIM; and Davies was director of strategy, planning and implementation at L&G retirement solutions.

The UAE-headquartered advice firm has recruited Eddy O’Kane as a private client manager.
He advises high net worth clients on the management of their portfolios.
O’Kane was previously business development manager at Confidential.

Gemma Godfrey and Jane Millar have taken on independent non-executive directorships at the international wealth and investment management group.
Godfrey is on the board of several companies and was head of investment strategy at Brooks Macdonald.
Millar led the integration of two investment management businesses at Investec Wealth and Investment, where she was also a board director.

The wealth group has expanded its presence in the south east of England with the hire of an investment manager.
Finn Quinn joins the Thames Valley team based in Bracknell where he will look after a combination of his own clients, IFA referrals and the local team of Evelyn financial planners.
He joins from Brooks Macdonald, where he worked in a similar role for seven years.

The Manchester-headquartered advice firm Artorius has named Kausar Sahab and Ray Keatley as wealth planner and lending partner, respectively.
Sahab was previously at St James’s Place and Lucas Fettes, where he worked as a financial planner, while Keatley joins from Handelsbanken, where he was a private banking manager.

The financial advice network has promoted Alexander McGregor to the newly created role of head of policy.
He has been with the business for eight years and most recently served as a senior compliance policy manager.
McGregor will focus on regulatory policy support and guidance to the over 3,000 members of the SimplyBiz network.
