Schroders

Schroders could be set to name chief financial officer Richard Oldfield as the successor to Peter Harrison, according to the Financial Times.

Harrison’s decision to retire next year was announced in April, prompting the search for a successor. He took on the role in 2016.

Oldfield joined the firm last October after two decades at PwC, where he held a range of senior roles.

7IM

The firm has expanded the board with appointment of Elizabeth G. Chambers as independent non-executive director (INED)

Chambers brings more than three decades of executive and board-level experience from her career spanning financial and professional services, strategy, digital transformation, product innovation and marketing.

She has served large public and private companies in the UK, US and internationally, with experience of strategic repositioning and global expansion.

Evelyn Partners

The company has appointed Rachel Bleakley as an associate director in its Birmingham financial planning team.

Before joining Evelyn Partners, Bleakley was a wealth planner at Succession Wealth. She has also worked for Fisher Investments and Chase de Vere Medical. Her primary focus at Evelyn Partners will be to help female business owners, entrepreneurs and executives with their retirement planning and general wealth management.

C. Hoare & Co

The UK’s oldest privately-owned bank has appointed Oliver Dean as a senior relationship manager.

He will be based in Yorkshire and will work closely with Carl Brian, who joined the bank in 2021, to  increase its presence in the North East.

Dean has 25 years of banking experience, most recently leading a team of private and corporate banking managers for Handelsbanken, where he was Sheffield branch manager. He previously held roles at Yorkshire Bank and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management

The firm has hired RBC Brewin Dolphin’s Tom Lane as chief commercial officer, a newly created position for the firm.

In the role, which focuses on client service and growth, Lane’s responsibilities will include heading the development of Canaccord’s new CRM system. The new system plans to integrate AI tools to aid wealth managers in meeting and anticipating client needs.

Paradigm Norton

The financial planning firm has announced Philippa Hann as its new CEO from April 2025, subject to regulatory approval.

Hann is a qualified lawyer with extensive experience. Most recently, she served as the head of litigation at Clarke Willmott solicitors, where she led a team of over 120 professionals.

The appointment follows a ‘rigorous selection process’ as the current CEO, Barry Horner, approaches his 65th birthday.

Tabula Investment Management

The firm has appointed Rhys Petheram as CIO, following Janus Henderson’s acquisition of the firm earlier this year.

He succeeds Jason Smith, who held the role for five years.

Most recently, Petheram was head of environmental investment solutions at Jupiter Asset Management, where he spent 17 years managing a range of multi-asset and fixed income portfolios.
