Ian McLeod joins from M&G Wealth

Royal London

The company has appointed Iain McLeod as director of investment proposition.

McLeod joins to lead the development of investment solutions for advisers across individual and workplace pensions, working closely with Royal London Asset Management.  

He joins from M&G Wealth following over 35 years at abrdn and Standard Life in a variety of investment, saving and proposition roles.

His experience includes working closely with the UK adviser community to develop and deliver client-centric investment solutions.

Nedgroup Investments

Former Columbia Threadneedle multi-manager head Rob Burdett has joined the firm to head up the its international multi-manager business.

Burdett was most recently head of Columbia Threadneedle’s multi-manager solutions, before exiting the firm in April after 17 years.

He led the multi-manager team through the Columbia Threadneedle acquisition of BMO Global’s Emea asset management business, and prior to that Thames River, where he was a founding partner.

Legal & General

The firm has named private markets CEO Laura Mason as the CEO of retail.

She will take up the role in December, succeeding Bernie Hickman who will exit the firm after 26 years.

Hickman has held several leadership roles during his time at L&G, including as MD of retail protection, group financial controller, investor relations director and co-founder of L&G Home Finance and CEO of L&G Insurance, before becoming CEO of the retail division at the start of 2022.

AXA Investment Managers

The firm has added Megan Brennan to its thematic equity team.

The portfolio manager joins from Sarasin & Partners, where she spent seven years as a portfolio manager and analyst on thematic equity and multi-asset funds.

She will work alongside head of global thematic strategies Tom Riley and portfolio manager Gregg Bridger, and will co-manage some of AXA IM’s global thematic strategies.

Rebalance Earth

The organisation has appointed former Federated Hermes head of investment Eoin Murray as its new chief investment officer.

He spent nine years at the firm before departing in February, and will now be part of Rebalance Earth’s plan to invest £10bn into nature restoration projects across the UK.

Titan Wealth

The wealth manager has appointed Giles Whittingham as business development director, focusing on the north of England.

He joins from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) where he was responsible for growing the business’s model portfolio services proposition among financial advisers in his role as senior investment sales manager. 

He was previously a client executive at GAM Investments, where he supported the sales of active fixed income, equity and multi-asset funds.
