PEOPLE MOVES: Raymond James, Square Mile, Hargreaves Lansdown

London branch principal named at wealth firm, while senior figure exits research house

Raymond James 

Jonathan Mack has been hired as co-branch principal in London, six months after Raymond James opened the office. 

He will work alongside Harry Burnham. 

Mack joins from JM Finn where he worked as an investment manager for over three years. 

Square Mile 

The director of research and consulting at the firm, Victoria Hasler, has left the business. 

She had been at Square Mile for nearly six years, starting as a senior investment research analyst, and most recently led the introduction of the company’s ESG integration and responsible investing ratings for asset managers and individual funds. 

Square Mile did not disclose where Hasler was headed next.  

Hargreaves Lansdown 

Head of policy Tom McPhail will leave the savings and investment platform after more than 18 years. 

He started in 2002 as director of retirement policy, and was then promoted to his current position in 2018. 

McPhail said he will be joining electric bicycle and e-scooter company Pure Electric, but he didn’t disclose what his role is going to be. 

Artemis Investment Management 

Stefan Sealey will become the investment management firm’s first representative in Europe, as he takes on the role of head of sales for Germany. 

He will join the company on 4 May 2020 from Citywire, where he was head of Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 2012. 

He managed and built relationships with key fund buyers in the institutional & semi-institutional markets, and with wealth managers across all Dach markets.

Latitude Investment Management 

The investment management firm has made three hires. 

Freddie Ryecart will become Latitude’s chief financial officer; he joins from media fund The Culture Capital Fund, which he co-founded in 2014. 

Rob Moncrieff and Charlie Walker have both taken on the positions of equity analysts. 

Moncrieff was previously at Brewin Dolphin, where he focused on equities in travel, leisure and the consumer sector; while Walker joins from Bridgepoint where he worked in M&A integration and corporate finance. 

Sionic 

Financial services consulting firm Sionic has recruited Cyrus Mehta as a director in its wealth management and private banking practice. 

He specialises in business change and system solution implementation. 

Mehta was previously an independent management consultant and director for over 24 years. 

Contemi 

The wealth management technology provider has expanded its southeast Asia team with a senior hire. 

Gaurav Mehta will become director of sales to continue the firm’s expansion in the region including, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. 

He joins from a digital wealth management firm where he worked as the Apac business head.
