PEOPLE MOVES: Praemium, Vontobel, Quilter Investors

Former FPI managing director joins platform, as wealth manager names head of LatAm and Middle East

Praemium

The platform has named Chris Divito as non-executive director to its UK board.

Divito has over 30 years’ financial services experience; including several years as chief executive of Standard Life Middle East and as managing director of Friends Provident International, based in Dubai.

He is currently head of the financial services faculty at Edinburgh Napier University.

Vontobel

The financial services firm has named Gianpiero Galasso as head of wealth management Latin America and Middle East.

He has joined from Credit Suisse, where he was a managing director of its international wealth management division.

Galasso will take charge of the wealth management teams in French-speaking Switzerland, Ticino and Milan.

He replaces Luigi Carnelli, who will continue to support Vontobel Wealth Management clients as vice chairman Italy.

Quilter Investors

The investment firm has hired Ian Jensen-Humphreys as a portfolio manager.

He joins from Seven Investment Management, where he was most recently deputy chief investment officer.

Sanne

The private client service provider has named Christopher Thoume as director of product development in its London office.

He was previously the chief of staff to KPMG’s global head of fintech.

The firm has also promoted Stephanie Hopkins to country head for Jersey.

She was previously head of private debt and capital markets.

Hopkins joined the firm in 2012.
