PortfolioMetrix

The firm has hired Alex Funk to take over as head of investments in the UK as Nic Spicer steps back from the position.

Funk is currently CIO of Schroders Investment Solutions, a role he took in May 2021. Previously, he was CIO of Benchmark Capital and worked as an investment specialist at Premier Asset Management.

At the end of April, Schroders CEO Peter Harrison announced he would retire next year, and head of UK Wealth Doug Abbott announced his departure in March.

Funk will begin his new role with PortfolioMetrix on 1 August.

Fidelity International

The departing Allianz Strategic Bond manager Mike Riddell will join Fidelity International in August.

In his new role, Riddell will be lead portfolio manager for Fidelity’s strategic and total return bond strategies. Current lead manager Tim Foster will assume co-manager responsibilities.

Based in London, he will report to Rosie McMellin, director of portfolio management, fixed income.

Artemis

The asset manager has appointed Lorraine Hau as an impact analyst.

She will join in July from Columbia Threadneedle (CT) Investments, where she was an ESG analyst.

Hau joined CT in June 2021 from the FAIRR Initiative, where she was the lead analyst delivering the Coller FAIRR Protein Producer Index, an ESG benchmark assessing the performance of global protein producers.

As part of Hau’s new role within the impact equities team, she will help to identify investment opportunities and conduct impact analysis including engagement.
