PineBridge Investments
Multi-asset class investment manager PineBridge Investments has appointed Alain Meyer as head of Switzerland and Austria for the firm. In this role, Meyer will oversee PineBridge’s continued expansion into the Swiss institutional and intermediaries market and the opening of a new Zurich office scheduled for 2017.
Meyer joins PineBridge from Aviva Investors, where he was head of institutional sales, overseeing operations across Germany, Austria and Switzerland – with a primary focus on Switzerland.
Guernsey Finance
Guernsey Finance, the island’s offshore finance promotional agency, has promoted Kate Clouston to the position of deputy chief executive. Since starting as the agency’s first director of international business development in 2015, Clouston has been responsible for leading business delegations and promotional activity in south-east Asia, North America and Europe.
Clouston speaks six languages, including Chinese and Arabic. Her work has had a focus on evaluating and developing target markets, through implementation of development strategies around emerging financial products, and attracting new companies or business to Guernsey.
Fidelity International
Sonja Laud has been appointed head of equity responsible for overseeing the equity income team at Fidelity International. She joins from Baring Asset Management where she managed multi-asset portfolios and was a member of the firm’s asset allocation group.
Laud brings with her more than 14 years’ experience in the asset management industry and was previously a fund manager at Schroders for eight years where she managed several global, European and UK equity funds with a focus on high-dividend stocks.
In her new role, she will be responsible for Fidelity’s equity income investment team and report to Paras Anand, chief investment officer for equities, Europe.
JP Morgan Asset Management
JPMAM has named Tatyana Dachyshyn as an executive director and client advisor on the Global Liquidity Emea sales team, responsible for business development in Germany and Austria. Dachyshyn will represent the Global Liquidity business, working closely with investors who have a need for a short-term fixed income investment solution. She starts with immediate effect.
She will be based in London and will report to Jim Fuell, head of global liquidity sales, international. Dachyshyn joins most recently from Commerzbank London, where she previously served as director in global client development in Securities Finance.
Tilney
Tilney has appointed Craig de Jong to its Guildford office as a financial planner. He joins from Santander where he was financial planning manager having previously worked at HSBC where he was a premier client manager for HNW private clients.
At Tilney, de Jong will deliver advice as part of the firm’s ‘two expert’ approach, which sees financial planners paired alongside the firm’s investment managers to provide a high quality integrated wealth management service to clients.
Marlborough Fund Manager/IFSL
Guy Sears, the former interim chief executive of the Investment Association, has joined the boards of Marlborough and outsourced fund administration provider IFSL as a non-executive director. Sears left the IA in 2016 following an eight-month stint at the helm of the asset management trade body.
Marlborough and IFSL said Sears’ appointment to their respective boards would help ensure that investors’ best interest would continue to be served.
Plurimi
Independent partner-owned wealth management business Plurimi, has launched an institutional-approach discretionary portfolio management service, established and run by Piers Cushing and Rob Cloete.
Complementing the firm’s decade-old investment advisory service, Plurimi’ s new discretionary team will provide an intuitive and scalable investment solution drawing on over 20 years’ combined experience of private client portfolio management.
