Pictet Wealth Management
Robert Suss will take on the role of chief executive of Pictet Wealth Management UK, effective from 6 September 2021.
He will succeed Heinrich Adami, who is set to retire at the end of the year after joining the firm in 1997 as a managing director and head of the private client office in London.
Suss spent the last 18 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently managing director and head of private wealth management in London.
Zurich
The insurance group has promoted Paolo Mantero to group chief strategy officer, effective from 1 January 2022.
He is currently chief financial officer for commercial insurance. Mantero joined the firm in 2016 as head of the group chief executive office.
He will succeed Giovanni Giuliani, who will become chief executive of Zurich Italy. A replacement for Mantero will be announced in due course, Zurich said.
AJ Bell
Sales director Gary Dale is leaving the investment platform.
The firm said it is making some changes to the way its sales team is organised, which includes Dale leaving by mutual consent.
There will be no direct replacement and the other members of the team that provide day-to-day support to advisers will remain in place, it added.
Multrees
Bill Vasilieff has joined Multrees Investor Services’ board as a non-executive director.
He stepped down from Novia Financial in May 2021 where he served as founder and chief executive, after the platform was sold to private equity business AnaCap Financial Partners in December 2020.

Director of Abrdn’s financial planning arm Neil Messenger will retire this month.
He joined the company when it acquired Grant Thornton’s financial planning arm in June 2019.

Lucy Draper will join the firm as director of distribution.
She joins from Standard Life Aberdeen (now Abrdn), where she worked as director of business development for Middle East and Africa, based in Abu Dhabi.

The investment manager has hired Sarah Peasey as director of European ESG investing, a newly created role.
She was previously at Legal & General Investment Management, where she served as head of responsible investment strategy – investments.
Cazenove Capital
The UK’s wealth management arm of Schroders has expanded its regional development operations with three senior hires.
Craig Jones becomes a portfolio director and Omar Iqbal a wealth planning director in the Birmingham office.
Jones was previously at HSBC Private Bank managing high net worth (HNW) clients, while Iqbal was at Barclays Wealth advising HNW individuals and their families.
Rhys Twomey takes on the role of portfolio director in the Bristol office joining from Coutts, where he looked after entrepreneurs and business owners, with a focus on succession planning.
Zedra
The international wealth and fund solutions provider has made two senior hires in Luxembourg.
Murjel Breedveld Jagesser will take on the role of client director, while Charles-Alexandre Houillon will become director of fund management.
Jagesser is a Dutch lawyer with more than 15 years’ experience in stock listed companies. Houllion was director and conducting officer at a fund management services administrator in Luxembourg before joining the company.
M&G Investments
The investment arm of M&G has expanded its US wholesale team with three hires.
Jasmine Miller has been promoted to partnership sales director from her existing role as client relationship manager, based in Bristol.
Allan Smith, John Pascoe and Wayne Sawyers all join as relationship managers.
Pascoe will cover the north of England, Smith the west and Wales, and Sawyers London and the south east.
Smith was previously at Standard Life Aberdeen, where he was an account manager for five years; Pascoe joins from 7IM, where he served as a business account manager for two years; and Sawyers was most recently at RC Brown Investment Manager, where he was sales director for its DFM for six years.
