Asset manager names CEO, as wealth firm hires head of IHT

Odey Asset Management

Peter Martin will succeed Tim Pearey as chief executive of the asset management firm.

He has been at the boutique since 2009 and currently manages the LF Odey Portfolio.

Micheal Ede will take on the role of chief operating and financial officer as current chief operating officer Tom Richards will leave the company at the end of June 2022 after 12 years.

Ede has worked at Odey since 2013.

Charles Stanley

The UK-based investment management firm has hired James Rae as head of inheritance tax (IHT).

He joined the IHT team in July 2017 from Charlotte Square Investment Management in Edinburgh.

Stonehage Fleming

The international family office has made a series of promotions across its Jersey and Guernsey offices.

In the Jersey family office arm, Ian Ferguson and Rudi Bodenstein have become partners. Ferguson joined the firm in 2001 while Bodenstein in 2018.

Additionally, Tatiana De Sousa and Stuart Dixon-Smith have been promoted to associate directors; Peter Humphries, Jim Jenkins and Christopher Nixon to managers; and Jason Gould, Anne Samson and Steeve Batista to senior associates.

In the Jersey group division, Milan Pillai has become manager, while Kelly Frith, Sebastian Plaster and Tom Heulin have taken on the roles of senior associates.

In Guernsey, Nel Schoeman has been promoted to associate director.

JTC

The global services provider has made three senior promotions in its Jersey operations.

Helier Le Main has become head of institutional client services, while Mark Fleming and Jodi Hill have been made deputy heads of private client services.

Le Main used to lead RBC’s employer solutions, funds and corporate services that joined JTC in 2021. While Fleming and Hill joined the firm through acquisitions, Fleming from Sanne and Hill from Merrill Lynch.

Tillit

The investment platform has recruited Andrew Wright had head of compliance, as it prepares to receive direct authorisation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.

He has 22 years of experience in risk, compliance and regulation within banking, wealth and investment management.

FCM

The Jersey-based private wealth services provider has made three hires.

Samantha Flambard has become director of client services, Ursula Polanska has taken on the role of assistant trust manager and Nienke Bouic has been named compliance assistant.

Fiske

The investment management firm has expanded its wealth management team.

Tony Conway and Greg Fields have joined the firm’s wealth department.

Conway has 35 years’ experience within the investment and private banking sector, while Fields has spent nearly three decades in wealth management.

LCP

The advisory and consultancy firm has named Sam Hollister as head of markets and engagement, with a focus on energy.

He has a background in energy policy and regulation after spending seven years at Energy UK, and was most recently head of policy and public affairs at energy supplier Ovo.
