Global tech firm hires MD for the UK, while asset manager names CEO

Objectway

The Italy-headquartered international wealth software provider has hired Hassan Suffyan as managing director for the UK region.

He will be responsible for growth in the UK and Irish markets.

Suffyan was previously head of the wealth technology practice at EY in the UK.

Cardea Group

The global asset manager has made two senior management hires.

Neil Fillary will become international chief executive and group president, while Carolyn Larocco has been named as US chief executive and chair of the investment committee.

They will be tasked with expanding the asset and wealth management and advisory businesses.

Most recently, Fillary was chief executive and co-founder of Horizon Family Partners, while Larocco joins from LCP Institutional, where she served as president.

Sienna Investment Managers

The Paris-based alternative investment platform, part of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, has named Paul de Leusse as chief executive.

He joins from Orange Group, where he was deputy chief executive and chief executive of Orange Bank since 2018.

Stanhope Capital

The wealth management business has expanded into Switzerland with a senior hire.

Laurent Mazens will join the group on 3 October 2022 as chief executive of Stanhope Capital (Switzerland).

He was formerly chief executive of independent wealth manager JAR Geneva for two years.

HSBC Global private Banking

The global private banking arm of HSBC has promoted Sharnika Silva to head of trust and fiduciary services for southeast Asia.

She will be based in Singapore and be responsible for HSBC Trustee’s strategic initiatives in the region.

Silva has been at HSBC Trustee for more than 15 years holding several leadership roles, most recently as a trust relationship management team head, in addition to her role as resident manager and director of HSBC Trustee (Singapore) since 2017.

Acorn Life DAC

Bernard Mulkerrins has left Utmost Group, where he served as propositions leader and head of pricing for over two years.

He has joined Irish life insurance company Acorn Life DAC as head of propositions.

Collyer Bristow

The Law firm has strengthened its international offering with a  hire within its immigration team.

Charles Avens becomes head of immigration to provide support to high net worth individuals and families wishing to relocate as well as international investors, entrepreneurs and corporate clients.

He was previously at law firm Druces, where he held a similar role.

Unicorn Asset Management

The fund management business has expanded its investment team with two appointments.

Cordelia Tahany is now an ESG and investment analyst, while Anam Ajani has become an investment analyst.

Tahany was previously an investment banking analyst at JP Morgan, while Ajani joined from JP Morgan Chase & Co where he was a senior analyst.

Old Mill

The financial advice firm has made three promotions within its wealth management team.

Becca Pullman, Suzy May and Lewis Dyer have all become trainee financial planner after serving as client managers.
