CIO exits online investment service while French bank names head of wealth management in Italy

Nutmeg

Chief investment officer Shaun Port is leaving the firm to join “one of the biggest and most well-known financial services firms in the world”.

But it is not clear which company he will be joining.

He took on the c-suite role in 2012 and has worked at Nutmeg since.

BNP Paribas Wealth Management

Elena Goitini has been named head of the newly rolled out private banking and wealth management division in Italy, which will leverage BNP’s Italian subsidiary Banca Nazionale del Lavoro’s (BNL) experience and presence in the country.

Goitini joins from Unicredit Group where she held several senior roles.

Eastspring

The Asian investment management arm of UK insurer Prudential has hired Dirk Toedte as director within the European fund distribution team.

He will be based in Luxembourg and focus on sales and marketing in Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and the Nordic region.

Toedte was previously head of business development for Germany and Austria at Alma Capital Investment Management.

Russell Investments

The global asset management firm has recruited Bettina May as head of distribution for Germany and Austria.

She will be based in Frankfurt and be responsible for expanding the firm’s network and distribution channels.

May joins from Amundi where she spent 12 years, and most recently she was a senior client relationship manager.

JM Finn

Marcus Holden-Craufurd has been appointed investment director at the UK wealth management firm, effective immediately.

He will be based in the company’s London office and be responsible for investment management services.

He joins from Rathbones where he spent 13 years in a similar position.

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management

The wealth management arm of the German bank has named Samuel Descovich as lead global products and solutions in the Americas to support its growth plans in the region.

He will be responsible for developing and delivering products and solutions to wealth management clients in the Americas.

He was previously head of capital market solutions at UBS Global Wealth management for six years.

Charles Stanley

The UK-based wealth manager has expanded its Belfast office with two hires.

Lisa Spruce joins as a senior administrator from Tilney where she worked for two years as a client services associate.

Michelle Murphy has been named as a paraplanner; she was previously at Tilney as well, where she served as a wealth planning associate for over three years.

CISI Jersey

The Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment has appointed Niall Husbands as president of the Jersey committee.

He takes over from Ed Loader of Integritas Wealth, who was in the role for the previous two years.

Husbands is a director at corporate administration firm Ogier Global and is also an international wealth management professional.
