Nikhil Rathi has been appointed as CEO for a second term.
The Treasury announced the decision in a statement this morning (10 April).
Since taking up the role in October 2020, Rathi has overseen reforms including changes to the UK’s listing regimes and the introduction of consumer duty.
Quilter Cheviot
The firm has appointed Peter Gorogh as its new head of proposition.
Gorogh will lead the firm’s proposition function, working with the distribution team on strategy for propositions aimed at high net worth clients.
The role will support both the investment management and financial planning offerings across the UK, as well as the international side of the business.
Gorogh previously spent nearly a decade at HSBC Private Bank, heading the UK investments business management, product development and product management functions.
Aviva Investors
The firm has expanded its UK wealth team with the senior hires of a head of UK advisory distribution and a strategic partners director.
Hayley Randall who joins from HSBC Asset Management, has taken the role of head of UK advisory distribution, where she will be responsible for driving growth and leading distribution for Aviva Investors’ UK IFA channel.
At HSBC Randall held several key roles, most recently head of wealth and premier in the group’s wealth and private banking business. At Aviva Investors she will report to Smera Ashraf, head of global wealth – UK.
Allianz Global Investors
The asset manager has promoted Michael Krautzberger to CIO of public markets, as the firm plans for the retirement of global head of investments Deborah Zurkow.
Currently global CIO fixed income, Krautzberger will take responsibility for the firm’s €475bn public markets platform from 1 June. He joined AllianzGI last year from BlackRock.
Chikara Investments
The firm has promoted Theo Wyld to portfolio manager/analyst and a named manager on the Chikara Japan Income & Growth fund and the CC Japan Income & Growth Trust.
Wyld joined the firm in October 2024 from Ruffer, where he co-managed the Ruffer Japanese fund.
He was previously a research analyst at JM Finn.
