Richard Corrigan has been appointed as chief officer of the States of Jersey’s financial services, digital and competition teams. Prior to his appointment, Corrigan had been on secondment to the States from his role of deputy chief executive of Jersey Finance to act as the interim director of financial services.
The teams that Corrigan will oversee are responsible for the development and implementation of the government’s strategic priorities within the island’s financial services, digital and competition sectors.
Lombard International Assurance
Lombard has appointed Ranald Munro to the new role of general counsel for its European operations. He will report to European chief executive Axel Hörger. Munro will lead a multi-disciplinary team, which will be responsible for ensuring the provision of commercial and corporate services, and advice to the European business.
He joins Lombard International Assurance from his role as chief legal officer of global reinsurer, SCOR Global P&C.
Stanhope Capital
Stanhope Capital has appointed Mexico’s former secretary of the Treasury (1988-1994), Pedro Aspe, to its advisory board. He will sit alongside other industry and finance doyens; including former BP chief executive Lord Browne, and chief executive of WPP, Martin Sorrell.
The investment firm said that Aspe’s appointment will be instrumental in Stanhope Capital’s continued expansion of its client base in Latin America.
AILO
The Association of International Life Offices has appointed Old Mutual Wealth’s Prakash Chandramohan as chair of its new proposition and customer outcomes committee. He will be supported by deputy chair Bernard Mulkerrins from Generali Worldwide.
The committee will provide a forum for Ailo members to engage proactively on consumer, market and emerging regulatory trends, which underpin the delivery of positive customer experience, value and outcomes.
FundRock
Luxembourg-based third-party Ucits and AIF manager, FundRock Management Company has appointed Irish funds lawyer Louise Harris to head up the legal and compliance function at its Irish branch.
A qualified barrister, Harris moved from private practice into the financial services sector 10 years ago. Since then she has held senior legal and compliance positions in regulated investment firms. Her appointment forms part of FundRock’s strategy to become a leading provider of investment management services to Irish domiciled funds.
