Asset manager names CEO, as insurance group hires head of sales

Janus Henderson

Ali Dibadj has been named as chief executive and joins the company from AllianceBernstein, where he has served as chief financial officer and head of strategy.

He succeeds Dick Weil, who will retire as chief executive and a member of the board as of 31 March 2022.

Effective 1 April 2022, the asset manager has appointed Roger Thompson, chief financial officer, to serve as interim chief executive until Dibadj joins in June.

Weil will serve as an adviser to the company through 30 June 2022.

Hansard

The insurance group has hired Gary Quaggan as head of sales.

He joins the firm from Trident Trust, where he was operations project manager, according to his Linkedin profile.

Hawksford

The global corporate, private client and fund services provider has hired Sowmitra Singh as M&A director.

Sowmitra has previously worked for Deloitte and EY.

Hawksmoor Investment Management

Leighton Dunkley has been named as the company’s chief finance officer.

He joins Hawksmoor from Simplyhealth where he was director of dtrategy and corporate finance.

Kleinwort Hambros

The wealth manager has named Neil Lewis as the head of key client segment

Prior to joining Kleinwort Hambros, he led the Barclays Private Bank key client coverage team across the south of England and Wales.

AJ Bell

The investment firm has appointed Jamie Ward as head of investment solutions.

Ward joins from Crux Asset Management, where he was fund manager on the Crux UK Core fund.

Capital Group

The asset manager has appointed Kat Ferris to the newly created role of head of product development for Europe and Asia.

She joins from Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where she was head of international product for four years.

HSBC Asset Management

The firm has named Dan Rudd to the newly created position of head of wholesale for northern Europe and Middle East.

He has over 28 years of industry experience and joined HSBC in 2005 where he has worked in a number of senior roles, most recently as head of external wholesale UK, Ireland and Middle East.

Harrington Cooper

The cross-border fund distribution specialist has expanded its European footprint with the addition of sales professional Teresa Del Alcazar.

Del Alcazar joins as head of sales for France, Switzerland and Benelux from Alken Asset Management.

Impax Asset Management

The specialist asset manager has appointed Paul Voûte as head of distribution, Europe and Asia Pacific.

He joins Impax from Federated Hermes, where he was executive director and head of Emea business development.

Quilter

Glyn Jones, chair of the financial services giant, will not seek re-election at the company’s Annual general meeting on 12 May 2022 in order to pursue other interests.

He will step down as chair and as a director of the company at the conclusion of the AGM.

The search for a successor to Jones as chair is ongoing.

Ruth Markland, who is currently senior independent director, will be interim chair of Quilter, while Tim Breedon, an existing non-executive director of the company, will assume the role of senior independent director for the duration of Markland’s period as interim chair.

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)

Katie Errock has been named as president of the CISI’s Isle of Man branch.

She has over 12 years of experience across financial services and investment management, for a variety of internationally regulated firms on the Isle of Man.
