PEOPLE MOVES: IQ-EQ, Julius Baer, Raffles Family Office

Senior management changes at service provider, while wealth firm names Swiss head of intermediaries

IQ-EQ

The global investor services provider has made two senior hires.

Matt Okolita will take on the role of head of outsourced business services. He used to lead regulatory, compliance and governance consultancy Greyline Partners, which was acquired by IQ-EQ in November 2021.

Additionally, solicitor Rebecca Brown will become head of legal for the UK, Ireland, and crown dependencies.

She joins from Link Group where she served as head of legal for projects.

Julius Baer

The Swiss wealth manager promoted Alexandre Berger to head of intermediaries for western Switzerland.

He succeeded Claudio Beretta, previous head of intermediaries for French- and Italian-speaking Switzerland, who is now in charge of the newly created intermediaries western Europe unit in Madrid.

Berger joined Julius Baer in 2020 to lead the intermediary business in the Americas, a role which he will keep after the promotion.

Raffles Family Office

William Chow has taken on the role of deputy chief executive, a newly created position at the family office, based in Hong Kong.

He will focus on meeting the growing demand for independent wealth management services in Asia.

Chow was previously at China Life Franklin Asset Management where he held a similar role.

Tilney Smith & Williamson

The UK-based wealth management group has expanded its intermediary business development team with two senior hires.

Danielle Rothery and Lisa-Marie Finch join as business development managers covering the north east and southwest of England, respectively.

Rothery was previously business development director at Standard Life Aberdeen , while Finch used to work at @sipp in a similar role.

Trium Ireland

The Ucits management company recruited George-James Hickey as director for sales and investor relations to strengthen its footprint in the DFM market.

He joins from Tradition Securities and Futures where he worked as an equity derivatives broker.

One Four Nine Portfolio Management

One Four Nine Group’s DFM arm appointed Jasper Berens as an independent non-executive director.

He brings 28 years of experience in the fund management industry after working at JP Morgan Asset Management, Artemis Investment Management and Stratevolve.

He currently serves as head of client relationships and distribution at UK charity investment manager CCLA.
