Fidelity International

Fidelity International has expanded its multi-asset team with the appointment of Chris Forgan as co-portfolio manager on the firm’s multi-asset income franchise. Forgan will join the 34-strong team in September, reporting to James Bateman, chief investment officer, multi-asset.

He joins from Henderson Global Investors where he managed multi-asset funds for over 13 years. Prior to this he was a senior performance analyst at First State Investments.

Jersey Finance

Jersey Finance has appointed Tom Powell as business development director for funds. He will focus on promoting the island’s funds sector, emphasising Jersey’s proactive environment for managers seeking to market into both mainland Europe and to the UK post-Brexit, while offering flexibility to access markets beyond Europe.

Prior to starting his new role, Powell was head of sales and investor relations at Altis Partners and brings 16 years of accumulated trading, sales and asset raising experience in the funds sector.

Invesco Perpetual

Douglas Turnbull is to join Invesco Perpetual’s emerging market equities team in September following his departure from Neptune in May.

He has spent his career to-date at Neptune and became manager of the Neptune China fund in 2009. Turnbull previously managed the group’s greater China income and China special situations funds before they were closed as part of Neptune’s product restructure.

Polar Capital

Gavin Rochussen took up his role of chief executive of Polar Capital on Monday. His appointment was first announced in January and sees Rochussen succeed Tim Woolley who has moved to a non-executive position after leading the firm for nearly seven years.

Rochussen was previously group chief executive of JO Hambro Capital Management, the active equity investment boutique acquired by Australian-listed fund management group BT Investment Management.

PortfolioMetrix

Discretionary investment manager PortfolioMetrix is expanding its client servicing team with the appointment of Julie Rowe as client implementation manager.

She joins PortfolioMetrix from private investor platform service, Platform One.
