Edmond de Rothschild

Hervé Ordioni has been named as chief executive of international private banking and a member of the group executive committee for the financial services giant.

Ordoni is currently chief executive of the group’s Monaco operation.

In his new role, he will oversee the Swiss, Monegasque, Dubai, Israeli and UK private banking activities as well as the activities of wealth solutions, wealth planning and external asset managers.

Also, head of group private banking Michel Longhini has decided to leave the bank.

Bravura

The wealth tech solution provider has named Libby Roy as its chief executive.

Roy, currently non-executive director of Bravura, has over 20 years leading global financial services and technology companies and joins from Optus Business in Australia, where she was managing director.

She replaces Nick Parsons, who is stepping down from the role on 22 August 2022.

AJ Bell

Head of investment management Matthew Brennan has left the firm after just shy of five years at the platform group.

Brennan joined the firm in 2017 and was responsible for the day-to-day running of its multi-asset portfolios. Prior to this, he worked for Brown Shipley as a senior fund manager and head of fixed income research.

According to his Linkedin profile, he has joined Valu-Trac Investment Management, which provides authorised corporate director services, as head of investment oversight.

Our sister publication Portfolio Adviser understands Brennan’s duties will be taken over by Jamie Ward, who joined AJ Bell as head of investment solutions from Crux Asset Management in March.

CCLA Investment Management

The investment manager has hired Sam Pennefather, Samuel Lynes and Alexandra Dacres-Hogg to join its retail distribution team in newly created roles in London.

Pennefather will join CCLA as head of strategic relationships from Jupiter Asset Management, where he worked for over a decade, most recently as director and head of strategic alliances in the retail distribution team.

Lynes has been recruited from Majedie Asset Management to join CCLA as senior sales manager.

Dacres-Hogg joined CCLA in April as sales manager from Muzinich & Co, where she worked in UK wholesale distribution.

Waverton Investment Management

The wealth manager has appointed Helen O’Loughlin as business development consultant.

She joins from Momentum Global Investment Management, where she was a senior business development consultant.

Eight Wealth International

The St James’s Place partner firm has named Kelly Greig as head of tax and estate planning.

Greig was most recently a partner at Paris Smith, where she led the tax and estate planning team.

Close Brothers Asset Management

David Mellett and Ben Staniforth have both joined the wealth firm as managing directors, each bringing with them over 25 years of financial services experience.

Mallett will be based in the north of England and joins from Santander Private Bank, where he was regional director across the north for nearly seven years.

Staniforth will split his time across the Midlands and south west areas and joins from Chase de Vere, where he managed a team of financial planners.

Franklin Templeton

The asset management giant has hired Gianluca Maione as head of intermediary sales for Italy.

Most recently, Maione was country head for Italy at Ninety One in Milan.
