PEOPLE MOVES: Charles Monat Associates, Amundi, Zurich

International life insurer makes c-suite changes, as asset manager names Hong Kong CEO

Charles Monat Associates

The life insurance solution provider has appointed Berry Wong as chief executive of Apac.

Wong previously served as chief executive of Hong Kong.

Also, Nikki Koh will succeed Martin Wong as chief executive of Singapore. He will continue to serve as group chief commercial officer.

Wong has been appointed to the position of group chief business development officer.

Amundi

The asset manager has named Kerry Ching as chief executive in Hong Kong.

Prior to joing Amundi, she was managing director at AMP Capital Asia.

Zurich

The insurance group has hired Andrew Cole as sales director in the Middle East, according to his Linkedin profile.

Cole joins the firm after leaving his post as founder and chief executive at UAE advice business Prosperity.

Lombard Odier

The wealth manager has named Edouard de Saint Pierre as managing director of its private bank in France.

He replaces Joëlle Pacteau, who is moving to a new role within the group.

De Saint Pierre joined Lombard Odier in 2018 following a 12-year career at UBS and JP Morgan, which included spells in Geneva, Zurich and London.

Sesame Bankhall Group

Craig Ross has joined the firm in the newly created role of propositions director.

He joins Sesame Bankhall Group on 7 June from Charles Stanley, where he was director of financial planning proposition.

St James’s Place

The wealth management group has promoted Andy Payne to head of academy.

He was previously head of transition in the business establishment team.

Rothschild & Co

Tim Eastwood has established a team for the firm’s wealth management business across the Midlands.

He joins Rothschild & Co from Credit Suisse, where he was head of ultra-high net worth UK international wealth management.

AHR Private Clients

The UK advice firm has hired Tom Aykin, Darryl Gilder and Raj Sachdev as private clients directors.

Aykin joins from Seven Investment Management, where he was a wealth planner and investment manager.

Gilder will join from Coutts, where he spent seven years, most recently as a private bank manager, and Sachdev joins from Sun Global Investment.

International Financial Group Limited (IFGL)

Jenny Trimble has joined the financial services firm as head of group internal audit.

She comes from KPMG, where she was an audit and advisory director.

Trimble takes over from David Wigg, who is leaving the company after seven years.

Investec Wealth & Investment

Michelle White joins the investment company as senior investment director for London.

She joins Investec from Julius Baer, where she provided wealth management solutions to private clients with a particular focus on helping US connected clients.

Rathbone Investment Management

The investment firm has named Scott Lothian as an investment director in Edinburgh.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Scott worked at Brooks Macdonald from 2010 as a senior investment director and head of Brooks Macdonald Aim portfolio service.

FundsNetwork

Fidelity International’s adviser platform has appointed Sam Christopher as head of proposition, strategy and growth.

She joined Fidelity FundsNetwork in May 2021 from M&G, where she was head of wealth proposition.

Christopher replaces Danny Wynn, who has been appointed as head of UK and Asia personal investing and advisory operations at Fidelity International.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management

The wealth firm has appointed Barry Halpin as regional director in London.

Prior to this role, he was the head of Emea service directors within BNY Mellon Asset Servicing.

DWS

The asset manager has named Frank Engels as global head of fixed income.

Engels joins the firm from Union Investment, where he has led the asset manager’s portfolio management.

He replaces Joern Wasmund, who will assume overall responsibility for the DWS investment platform in Europe as regional investment head Emea.

Union Investment

Andreas Köster will become head of portfolio management at the firm.

He takes over from Engels.

Köster was at UBS Global Wealth Management, where he was chief investment officer of global asset allocation.

Ignition Advice

The global advice tech provider has named Paul McMahon as non-executive director for Ignition Advice UK.

McMahon held senior executive positions at Zurich Financial Services, managing director of Axa Sun Life and group marketing director at Aegon.
